Wellington

Wellington is sooo pretty, I thought it deserved a blog post all of it's own.
I loved the vibe of the city, but I am too tired to type a decent post. (I just went to the hospital this afternoon and that always drains my energy)

A fountain with pennies tossed into it. I just really fell in love with the deep blue of the tiles.

Such a cute place to have lunch, in the middle of a rose garden.

The harbour.

The weather was really dark, which made the harbour feel even more industrial.

He was just sitting there, staring to the ocean. I wonder what he was thinking about.

Random...

A poem written in stone, what could we want more?

Students + Playgrounds = Childhood all over again

We went to the botanical gardens. We were snapping away with our cameras, a lot of tourists thought we were weird:P

I like purple flowers best/

These were so cute and tiny.

We went to the Lady Norwood rose garden, because I insisted so. It was very much worth it. I love roses and I want my garden to be full of roses when I grow up.

Last kringhuisavond.

Yesterday was the last "kringhuisavond" of the year, so we decided to have an outdoor luxury dinner, which was so much fun. We had a this lovely food and gave each other little "thank you" and motivational cards. We made a bonfire, sat in the rain and watch the thunderstorms. A good evening:)

The weather was absolutely lovely, which made me happy after all these weeks of just rain and more rain.

I love my 50mm It's the best lens I have I guess. (In case you are wondering, I have a 18-55mm lens, a 28-80 mm lens, a 70-300mm lens and of course a 50 mm lens)

Students and playground are a great combo:)

Lovely green leaves, I just thought they looked so fresh and pure.

I love wearing sandals, they are just so summery and girly and they make me feel all pretty:)

I just love these cute little goals, I was so fond of them as a child, playing soccer in summer:)

Our little picknick place

I think I am going to make a series of photos like these, I just love diptychs like this.

I repaired my camera remote a few days ago, so I am now able to take self-portraits again. I am also thinking about doing some sort of summer project with photography and writing, but I don't know yet.

Expect another post tomorrow, I will get a roll of film then:)

Love,

Iris

New Zealand Pictures Part 4 of many

And more! I have no idea how I should sort all the images I have made. The exif-data turned out corrupt, so I have no idea of figuring out what belongs where, so the posts will be quite random. (sorry)

We went to a place where there was a lot of sulfur in the ground, creating puddles with amazing colors!
This was boiling grey mud and the smell was sooo bad!

It was hard to see each other because of all the fumes.

Cool, eh?

I just fell in love with this. The orange and the blue complemented eachother so perfectly!

It was even brighter in real life!

Need I say more?

Robin making a badass pose!

Boyzzzzzzzz

This seemed to be a really interesting shop:)

 SSunset!

That, ladies and gentlemen, is Mount Doom. Welcome. (No, I did not see Frodo)

New Zealand Pictures Part 2 of many

Hi Everyone,

More pictures:) These are from 18-04 and 19-04, the days we were still in Auckland.
We had a free afternoon, and we went for a walk near some beautiful cascades.
This was the first waterfall we saw in New Zealand, so we were all very impressed (not knowing there are amazing waterfall all around New Zealand).  I still think it is a pretty fall:)
The rocks were cubic. Really cool:) (I think it happened because of some sort of crystallization of the rock)

I just really like bridges, I love that they are symmetrical.. (I know I'm weird)

A beautiful little stream. This really reminded me of the Narnia books for some reason.

This was a pretty cool tree. It had stairs and some swinging ropes attached to it. On the stairs were names from couples, really cute right?

There are a lot (and I really mean a lot) of ferns in New Zealand....

The 19th we had another day off, which we spent taking the ferry to Devon Point, this lovely island.
We went to this lovely shop right next to our hostel, that sold clothes (new and secondhand), books, coffee and a lot of cd's. I wish there were more stores like that in the Netherlands as well.

Street musicians never fail to make me smile.

I take creepy pictures of random people :D

The skyline. See that tower? We had dinner there!

We had dinner wayy up!

More to come:)
